After testing confirms asbestos, we will establish our work area. This will be any area where abatement will take place. We will then disable all HVAC and electrical systems to ensure the asbestos will not be spread once we begin the abatement process. Next decontamination enclosure systems will be installed and we will seal openings with plastic sheeting. We will then use wet methods and vacuums with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter on non movable objects to keep asbestos from becoming airborne. Immobile items will then be sealed with plastic sheeting. Surfaces that are not under abatement will be covered with plastic sheeting to protect from contamination. Lastly, we will properly dispose of all contaminated material per EPA protocols.

What happens during abatement
